Hardness in water is caused by Calcium and Magnesium ions. These ions normally cause scaling of pipes and equipment in drinking water and process water systems.

ACME Enviro offers AQUA-S, an efficient hardness removal system for household, laboratories and industrial applications. This system comes in both up-flow and down-flow modes. AQUA-S units are regenerated with salt (NaCl), using manual regeneration technique and optionally in auto mode.

AQUA-S reduces the level of hardness causing minerals, Calcium and Magnesium, from the raw water supply. Modest amounts (up to 0.3 ppm) of iron can also be eliminated through the AQUA-S system.

Higher amounts of iron can be treated with iron-specific resin media.

This system is also available in models using specific resins and can be regenerated with customised procedures as an option.

  • Flow capacity from 1,000-10,000 litre per hour
  • Larger capacities (>10 m3 / hr) can also be provided
  • Option of softener systems for water having high TDS
  • AQUA-S can be configured as de-alkalisers
